Regardless, you can hear someone breathing heavily... So heavily it sounds as though they are sobbing as they beg for their burning lungs to just keep breathing."No... No... I can't... Can't... I have to... No..." A man stumbles into view. He's covered in sweat and blood. He's panting and he's probably dehydrated as well as starving. He manages another step before crashing to his knees. He holds his stomach and moans as he continues to sob for breath. A part of you hopes that he made it... But it's too late for him. Maybe even too late for you. You hear a scrambling, rustling noise... You hope that it's someone who saved this poor man. You see a shadow come over him. He must have felt the relief from the burning sun even in his suffering. He looks up and you see the look on his face. It's indescribable. And you know that it is not another human coming to save him."NO!!" Is all he manages to scream hoarsely through his parched throat as the zombie pounces on him. The man manages to punch it and it backs off. The zombie is infinitely ugly... Which isn't to say that any zombie is good looking, but in this case... Its skin is wrinkled completely and then sun-dried to a white paper-ish looking mess. It's pretty scrawny and you quickly realize that it follows quietly until its prey weakens enough that it can take it without a fight. Your stomach churns. More of these creatures come and circle the man like vultures. It's obvious what they're doing- waiting for him to weaken further. You realize that he was probably followed... Hunted as he walked.Once he was judged an easy meal- the pack pounced him and ate him, bones and all.
